“1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

Everyone’s cheering you on! Everyone wants you to be strong in your faith. Your pastors, your leaders, everyone! I want everyone to know Christ so everyone can be in heaven forever. WHO WOULDN’T? remember Jesus was human once too. HE FACED TRIALS! OMG I KNO RITE? Jesus has seen this all before. Spencer just broke up with you now you’re lost. RUN TO GOD! He wants YOU TO WANT HIM! Go to him and he’ll comfort you. He’s better than any GUY! Jesus never lost sight of where he was going. His goal was God and he got God. Set your phasers on God. 🙂 Lol nerdyish quote. “” Look at what Jesus did. He PERFECTED OUR FAITH IN EVERYTHING! He did it all for you so GO TO HIM!

” Do not let the book of law depart from your mouth meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything that is written in it then you will be prosperous and succesful ” Joshua 1:8

Ever get that feeling when you have no idea what to do? I can honestly say I personally do. God tells us quite many times to be in his Word so we may succeed, Psalms 1:2, 2 Timothy 2:15, just to name a few. God’s request is very simple for us. Spend time in your word every day. No, you don’t have to become a massive Jesus Freak and read your Bible more than you drink water. I went to a church camp and what one of the speaker’s said really stuck out to me, Spend more time in God’s Word than anything else. I’ve tried my hardest at that, but frankly, it’s not easy :(. What the guy meant was if you spend 4 hrs on FaceBook, spend 4hrs and 1 minute reading God’s Word. Spend 12 hrs playing video games, Spend 12 hrs and 1 minute, in God’s Word. Oh wait… You can’t…. You yourself have to find that balance of what you do. Maybe it’s cutting TV time, computer time, or video games. But, read God’s Word with a purpose. Don’t just read it to get brownie points with God like, Oh I read my Bible today. Because if you don’t read God’s Word with a purpose, you’re just reading words. God wants you to be in His Word and thrive on that. But I can’t make that descision for you. You have to.  What Joshua really told us was, know God’s word, and you will be succesful. Will you face trials? Yes. But you know His Word and knowing that will pull you out of trials.

With Love,

Maryssa 🙂

Edit: I had no right to say being a Jesus Freak is bad! Jesus was crazy for Christ and so shall we! Be Excited for Christ! It’s a joyous feeling! Trust Me, you’ll love it, there’s nothing else better! What I mean by that statement was that be in your Bible constantly, but It does not have to be 24 hours a day. Be in it as much as you can and read it with a purpose not just words. I love Christ and you should never be ashamed of loving Christ with all your heart soul and mind. The BIBLE tells you to do that.

“The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it” -1st Thessalonians 5:24

Ever feel in your life everyone’s lying to you? Trust me, I do too. It just seems like people are telling things to make me happy. Who knows.. I was watching the CBS show Big Brother and I thought about something, you really cannot trust anyone in that house. Even your showmance. (Which is what Will calls romances on TV) Would I backstab you for 1/2 a million dollars? Heck Yes 🙂 But you can’t trust them when money’s involved. Well I have 0$ and 0cents so trust me on this. God only wants one thing from you and that’s to follow him so you can be saved. John 3:16 tells you flat out, He gave up everything just so you can follow him. A great analogy to what God did for us, (although truly its even greater) is if you must give up your kid or you die feeling, times 100,000,000,000. God gave up everything for us. In the Bible it also says allot that God will never leave us, (Jeremiah 1:8,Joshua 1:9, well allot of other places, (about 250) but you get the picture.) The One who calls you is God, He wants you to FOLLOW HIM, and He will always be faithful (1 Corinthians 10:13) to you no matter what the circumstances, He loves you (1 John 4:19) and will give what you need (Matthew 6:33)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. -James 1:12

That means that God’s basically telling you through James we will fall through trials. Our life will never be perfect. But, if we can do this one simple thing: Trust in HIM. If we trust in God and have faith that we know He will, he will carry us through the storm and we will all be partying it up in heaven. Some great verses to look up are Jeremiah 29:11, Joshua 1:9, Jeremiah 1:8, and Matthew 6:33. They all say nearly the same thing, God is with you, and has a strategy for getting out as long as you trust in Him.
